Progress in role of tertiary lymphoid structures in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
摘要
Abstract
Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD),marked by progressive airflow limitation and per-sistent respiratory symptoms,is currently the third leading cause of death worldwide.Tertiary lymphoid structures(TLSs)are specialized immune formations predominantly composed of B cells,T cells,and dendritic cells,and are commonly ob-served in various chronic inflammatory diseases,particularly in the lungs of COPD patients.Increasing evidence suggests that TLSs play a pivotal role in COPD pathogenesis.Cells within these structures contribute to inflammation and emphyse-ma through antibody production and cytokine secretion.This review explores the structure,function,and role of lymphoid follicles in COPD,summarizes how they influence disease progression by modulating immune responses and cell-cell inter-actions,and discusses potential therapeutic strategies targeting TLSs.关键词
