Abstract
In order to identify the prevalence of 4 common viruses including classical swine fever virus(CSFV),porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus(PRRSV),pseudorabies virus(PRV)and porcine circovirus type 2(PCV2)in pig herds in Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture of Hunan Province,345 samples(including 275 lymph nodes and 70 ear tips)were collected from dead pigs in rendering plants,and 1 168 lymph node samples from slaughtered pigs in slaughterhouses using a stratified sampling strategy from 2021 to 2024,to detect pathogen nucleic acids using real-time fluorescent PCR.The results showed that the positive detection rates for PCV2,PRRSV,CSFV and PRV were 39.13％,16.23％,5.22％and 1.45％respectively in the dead pigs in rendering plants,and 15.41％,3.34％,0 and 2.31％respectively in the slaughtered pigs in slaughterhouses;and co-infection,primarily PCV2+PRRSV,was prominent,with the detection rate of 10.72％in rendering plants and 2.65％in slaughterhouses.In conclusion,PCV2 and PRRSV were severely prevalent in pig herds in the region,with potential risk of other two pathogens,especially viral co-infection.Therefore,other pathogens should not be neglected,although PCV2 and PRRSV should be controlled as a priority;vaccination and genetic management should be improved to ensure biosafety prevention and control on intensive farms,monitoring and quarantine supervision should be strictly implemented by competent authorities to prevent any introduction or transmission of pathogens.关键词
