A dataset of nitrate nitrogen isotopes in the river water of the Weihe River Basin

Abstract
Nitrate nitrogen isotope(δ15N-NO3-)is an important indicator for studying the source,migration and transformation processes of nitrogen in rivers and for guiding pollution control.It is also a key basis for evaluating agricultural fertilization,sewage discharge and ecological restoration effects,and plays an important role in revealing the trend of water eutrophication and the nitrogen cycle mechanism.The topography and landforms of the Weihe River Basin are rich and diverse.Long-term soil erosion has shaped a unique landform with crisscrossing gullies and dense ridges and mounds.In addition,the Weihe River Basin is also an important grain-producing and industrial area,and its nitrate-nitrogen cycling process is jointly influenced by human activities and natural conditions.The dataset of this study contains the nitrate nitrogen isotope data of 7 rivers including the Weihe River,Jinghe River,Bahe River and Heihe River.The data in the dataset can be divided into two parts.One part is the nitrate nitrogen isotope data measured in this experiment,which were obtained strictly in accordance with relevant analytical techniques and methods during the measurement process.The other part is the nitrate nitrogen isotope data cited from the published research results of this basin.During the collection and organization process,all data were extracted exactly as presented in the published studies to ensure the accuracy of all data in the dataset.This dataset can provide data support for the source tracing and migration transformation of nitrogen pollution in the Weihe River Basin,and offer a scientific basis for the regulation of nitrogen non-point source pollution from agriculture,industry,and daily life within the region,as well as for the ecological management of the basin.关键词
