Can Industry-education Integration Bring Benefits to Stakeholders in Vocational Education?

Abstract
The industry-education integration is currently an important policy in vocational education in China.However,the implementation of this integration faces many obstacles.One of the key reasons is the difficulty in accurately assessing whether it will bring considerable benefits to the stakeholders.This study employs ordered logit models to analyze panel data from 36 majors at Shanghai communications polytechnic spanning 2021 to 2024.The empirical findings reveal that industry-education integration significantly enhances freshman registration rates and graduate employment rates,and they form a positive feedback mechanism.This indicates that industry-education integration can bring significant benefits to vocational schools and students.The aforementioned empirical analysis results provide a basis for evaluating the effectiveness of industry-education integration policies.Based on this,it is essential to improve the incentive mechanisms for industry-education integration,explore the establishment of a more reasonable model for sharing interests between schools and enterprises,and strengthen the bridging role of industry associations in industry-education integration.关键词
