Abstract

Preventing high-salt corrosion is a critical technical factor in ensuring the structural integrity of e-quipment materials and maintaining stable operation of continuous production processes,holding significant im-portance for the refining and chemical industries.In response to the challenges posed by high-salt corrosive en-vironments in these industries,this study systematically investigated the synergistic effects of various alloying el-ements—such as Mn,P,S,Cu,Nb,Ni,Cr,Mo,Ti,Zr,and N—as well as gradient NaCl concentrations,on the corrosion behavior of low-alloy steels under room temperature conditions.Through Tafel polarization curve analysis and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS)tests,combined with Spearman correlation analy-sis,the corrosion mechanisms under the interaction of alloying elements and environmental factors were elucida-ted.The results indicated that the corrosion current density of 09Mn and AH36 steels in NaCl solutions of differ-ent concentrations remained consistently below 0.5×10-4 A·cm-2,demonstrating excellent corrosion resist-ance.The contents of P,S,Mo,Nb,Zr,and N in both were relatively high,which was consistent with those of Spearman analysis.Specifically,Mn,Nb,Cr,Zr,and N exhibit a strong positive correlation with the self-corrosion potential,whereas P and S show a strong negative correlation.Mo demonstrates a strong negative cor-relation with the corrosion current density.This study provides both experimental evidence and theoretical sup-port for the material design and optimization of highly corrosion-resistant low-alloy steels.
