摘要

Abstract

The Annual Logging Symposium of Society of Petrophysicists and Well Log Analysts(SPWLA)is a key event for the exchange of new theories,methods,technologies,and products in well logging.Based on 145 academic papers presented at the 65th SPWLA Annual Logging Symposium,this paper highlights the latest research progress across 16 key topics,including acoustic technology and applications,nuclear technology and applications,3D ultra-deep azimuthal resistivity(UDAR)innovations,image technology and applications,data analytics and automation in geologic evaluation,digital rock physics for formation evaluation etc.Research indicates that logging tools are increasingly evolving towards hardware refinement trends such as deep investigation,higher resolution,and full-lifecycle monitoring.Data processing and inversion,driven by artificial intelligence(AI),are deeply integrating with physical models,entering a new phase of algorithmic processing.Formation evaluation is advancing towards multidimensional and intelligent evaluation systems,while applications continue to expand into diverse scenarios,including engineering optimization and energy strategic security etc.Building on these insights,the paper analyzes the current state of scientific research in China and discusses future development trends such as AI-driven automated interpretation and evaluation technologies,as well as the diversification of logging applications in the context of energy transition.Furthermore,it offers practical recommendations on the integration of logging and AI technologies in China,the construction of a digital rock physics ecosystem,and breakthroughs in core technologies for logging-while-drilling(LWD).
