Abstract

Classroom behavior,as an external manifestation of learners'motivation and emotional states,is directly correlated with academic performance and outcomes.Traditional assessment methods for learning effectiveness are characteristic of strong subjectivity and lack of procedural capabilities.To address these issues,it proposes a classroom learning effectiveness evaluation method based on learning engagement.Then,relevant strategies are given to promote the improvement of learning effect.Leveraging artificial intelligence technologies,the approach detects seven common classroom behaviors,including hand-raising,standing to respond,head-up,head-down,reading/writing,sleeping,and phone usage.Multi-object tracking technology is also employed to monitor these behaviors so that behavioral frequency data throughout the class session are obtained.Multiple learning effectiveness indicators are constructed,including active participation level,concentration degree,and attention dispersion index,to analyze and assess classroom learning outcomes.To verify the effectiveness of this evaluation strategy,it conducts learning effectiveness assessments based on behavioral data analysis using two representative classroom teaching video samples of lecture-based and self-directed learning types.The results demonstrate that the method can effectively reflect classroom learning outcomes and enhance teaching quality.
