Application of Conical Insulators in Electron Guns
摘要
Abstract
As a core component of vacuum electronic devices such as klystrons and traveling wave tubes,the electron gun faces a critical limitation in its high-voltage performance due to the issue of surface flashover across the insulator.Through electric field simulation and electron trajectory analysis,the causes of surface flashover in traditional cylindrical insulators are investigated.A segmented conical in-sulator is studied and designed,which utilizes the normal electric field on the conical surface to repel electrons away from the insulator,thereby avoiding secondary electron multiplication caused by electron bombardment.The design helps to increase the surface flashover voltage.This study provides a theoretical basis and engineering reference for the insulation design of high-voltage electron guns.关键词
