Trigger Timing Optimization Method of Single-module LTD Pulsed Source

Abstract
Adjusting the switch trigger timing of each stage can realize the output waveform control of the Linear Trans-former driver(LTD).Establishment of a full-circuit model which reflects the switch triggered close time of each stage and secondary electromagnetic wave transmission process,as well as the automatic optimization of switch trigger timing for specific output waveform by combining with the search optimization algorithm,is the basis of LTD application experi-ments.In this paper,the trigger timing optimization method of single-module LTD based on the Bergeron algorithm and particle swarm optimization gravitation search algorithm is established.Under the conditions of given pulsed source cir-cuit parameters and output waveform requirements,the trigger timing coefficients are optimized.The calculated results are in agreement with the cascade-triggering experiment of the 12-stage LTD pulsed source,which verifies the effective-ness of the proposed method,and the number of iterations per calculation is less than 10.The results show that,when the 12-stage LTD pulsed source is charged±60 kV,the trigger timing coefficient ranges from 0.96 to 1.39,the output current amplitude of the pulsed source is(766±8)kA,and the output current front is adjustable from 96 to 109.6 ns.The optimi-zation method can provide the crucial trigger timing parameters for waveform control of large-scale LTD pulsed power devices.关键词
