混沌脉冲位置宽度调制的超宽带雷达信号设计与分析

Abstract
The ultra-wideband(UWB)radar signal with chaotic pulse position-width modulation(CPPWM)is designed and generated ex-perimentally.The pulse position and width of CPPWM signal with constant pulse amplitude are modulated by two chaotic sequences re-spectively,which are generated by the logistic map and the tent map after quantification and bitwise XOR.Finally,the CPPWM signal with tunable bandwidth in the range of 625 MHz to 2.5 GHz can be generated in real time based on the high-speed serial transceiver of field programmable gate array.The analysis results of signal characteristics indicate that the CPPWM signal has not only the random-ness,wideband,and auto-correlation characteristics but also the quasi-orthogonality and strong anti-jamming ability,which can be used as the orthogonal transmitting signal set of multiple-input multiple-output radar and for target detection in the complex electromagnetic environment.In addition,compared with the chaotic pulse position modulation signal,the auto-correlation peak sidelobe level of CPPWM signal can be increased by 2.5 dB on average,thus improving the detection signal-to-noise ratio.The good correlation can still be maintained especially in short correlation time,thus reducing data processing time while ensuring detection performance.关键词
