Analysis on Spatiotemporal Heterogeneity of Rainfall-Runoff-Tide Changes in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Over the Past 60 Years

Abstract
In recent years,most cities in China have been affected by rainstorm-induced floods.Coastal cities,in particular,are not only impacted by rainstorm floods but also face the potential threat of storm surges.The problem of flood disasters caused by the coincidence of storm surges and rainstorm floods is even more prominent,which has become one of the important factors endangering the healthy development of coastal cities in China.Focusing on the characteristics of waterlogging in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area(GBA)caused by multiple factors including rainfall(floods)and tides,this study analyzes the spatiotemporal heterogeneity of rainfall-runoff changes in the region over the past 60 years against the background of global change.The results show that the rainfall and runoff in the East River,West River,and North River exhibit distinct trends of increase or decrease respectively,with the flood peak discharge during the flood season showing a particularly significant upward trend.A notable abrupt change in tidal levels occurred around 2007,after which the tidal levels increased significantly.Combined with the frequent extreme climate events in recent years,these findings indicate that global environmental changes have exerted a significant impact on rainfall,floods,and tides in the GBA.关键词
