Effects of Environmental Conditions at Different Orientations in a Greenhouse on Fruit Setting and Quality of Nectarine

Abstract
[Objective]To investigate the effects of environmental conditions in different orientations of the greenhouse on the fruit set rate and fruit quality of nectarines,preliminarily explore the relationships between environmental factors and the growth,development,and quality formation of nectarine fruits,and provide a scientific basis for the optimization of greenhouse environment management.[Methods]Two-year-old'Red Coral'nectarines were used as experimental materials.The materi-als were divided into 8 regions according to the environmental conditions in different greenhouse orientations.The number of flowers,number of fruits,fruit set rate,as well as external and internal fruit quality indicators of nectarines in different re-gions were determined.[Results]The results indicated that the environmental conditions in different orientations within the greenhouse significantly affected the number of flowers,fruit yield,fruit set rate,and fruit quality of nectarine.Specifically,the southern area of the greenhouse,due to sufficient light and relatively stable temperature,exhibited a higher number of flowers and fruit set rate.Furthermore,the fruit transverse diameter,longitudinal diameter,single fruit mass,and sugar con-tent in this area were superior to those in other areas.[Conclusion]In production practice,measures such as adjusting plant spacing and row spacing,pruning,supplementing light in areas with insufficient light,and improving indoor air circulation can be adopted to increase light transmittance and enhance the commercial value of the fruits.关键词
