子午岭黑山羊母羊体尺与体重的增龄性变化规律及相关性分析
Age-related Variation and Correlation Analysis Between Body Measurements and Body Weight in Ziwuling Black Nanny Goats

Abstract
Ziwuling Black Goat(also known as Longdong Black Goat)is a unique local genetic resource in the Longdong region of Gansu Province,characterized by its tolerance to coarse fodder,strong adaptability,and high meat quality.However,influenced by market conditions and farming practices in recent years,its purebred population has continued to decline,and the mechanisms linking growth patterns to body size and weight remain unclear,limiting scientific breeding and efficient farming of this breed.To analyze the correlation between body measurements and body weight at different ages,providing a theoretical foundation and practical guidance for stage-specific breeding,precision feeding,and efficient population expansion of this breed.A total of 294 nanny goats aged 6,12,24,36,and 48 months were evaluated under confined feeding.Body height(X1),body length(X2),chest girth(X3),and body weight(Y)were recorded,and correlation and path analyses were performed.Results showed that Ziwuling Black nannies exhibited significant growth potential at 6 to 12 and 24 to 36 months of age,while the growth rate slowed down after 36 months.The chest girth demonstrated the highest correlation coefficient with body weight across all age stages,and path analysis revealed its greatest direct effect,indicating that it is the key body size indicator influencing body weight.Regression equations constructed for different growth stages further demonstrated that chest girth may be one of the most stable predictors of body weight in Ziwuling Black nannies.关键词
