Dynamic Changes and Correlation Analysis of Calcium in Leaves and Fruits during Development and Maturation of Cerasus humilis

Abstract
[Objective]To explore the variation patterns of different forms of calcium in leaves and fruits of Cerasus humi-lis during fruit development and ripening,as well as the correlation between them.[Methods]Two superior lines Cerasus hu-milis,MY-2 and MY-9,from Inner Mongolia were used as test materials.The contents and proportions of water-soluble calcium,pectate calcium,calcium phosphate,calcium oxalate and other forms of calcium in leaves and fruits were compared and analyzed at six stages of fruit development(from young fruit stage to full ripeness stage).The calcium concentration gra-dients and their correlations between leaves and fruits were also analyzed.[Results]1)During fruit development,the water-soluble calcium contents in leaves and fruits of the two superior lines showed similar variation trends,both increasing overall.The contents of pectate calcium,calcium phosphate and active calcium in leaves decreased first and then increased,while calci-um oxalate and total calcium contents increased overall.In fruits,the contents of pectate calcium,calcium phosphate,calcium oxalate,active calcium and total calcium all increased first and then decreased.At full ripeness stage,the contents of pectate calcium,calcium oxalate and total calcium in leaves were much higher than those in fruits.2)In terms of calcium proportion,the proportion of water-soluble calcium in leaves of the two superior lines increased overall,the proportions of pectate calcium,calcium phosphate and active calcium decreased first and then increased,while the proportion of calcium oxalate increased first and then decreased.In fruits,the proportion of water-soluble calcium increased overall,and the proportion of calcium phos-phate decreased first and then increased,which was consistent with the variation patterns of corresponding calcium forms in leaves.However,the variation patterns of other calcium proportions were different:the proportion of pectate calcium increased first and then decreased,the proportion of calcium oxalate decreased continuously,and the proportion of active calcium in-creased continuously.At full ripeness stage,the proportions of water-soluble calcium,pectate calcium,calcium phosphate and active calcium in fruits of the two superior lines were significantly higher than those in leaves,while the proportion of calcium oxalate was lower than that in leaves.There were significant differences in the contents of various calcium forms between leaves and fruits of the two superior lines.At full ripeness stage,calcium oxalate,pectate calcium and total calcium contents in leaves were significantly higher than those in fruits.In contrast,the calcium concentration gradients of water-soluble calcium,calcium phosphate and active calcium between leaves and fruits were small(less than 1),with higher contents in fruits.Further corre-lation analysis showed that the changes and accumulation of calcium in fruits were closely related to the contents of various cal-cium forms in leaves.[Conclusion]In summary,during the development and ripening of Cerasus humilis fruits,the variation trends of calcium contents and proportions in leaves and fruits of the two superior lines are basically consistent.Significant differences in calcium content and concentration gradients exist between leaves and fruits.Water-soluble calcium has a small concentration gradient difference and is an easily translocated calcium form.Pectate calcium and calcium phosphate show small gradients in the early stage of fruit development,facilitating translocation to fruits,while the gradients increase in the late stage,reducing translocation capacity to fruits.Calcium oxalate tends to be retained and deposited in leaves,making it difficult to translocate to fruits.These findings provide an important basis for in-depth understanding of calcium nutrition regulation and fruit quality formation mechanism in Cerasus humilis.关键词
