Abstract

In recent years,continuous improvements have been made to the tap water penetration rate in Fujian Province,with rural tap water penetration and large-scale water supply coverage reaching 97.25%and 73.06%,respectively.As reservoirs are vital water sources for treatment plants,scientifically rational water intake methods are directly related to the safety and stability of water supply quantity and quality.Taking the intake of Meihuashan Reservoir in Shanghang County,Longyan City as a case study,a comparative selection was conducted among four water intake methods:reinforced concrete stratified intake,floating barge intake,slope horizontal pipe intake,and steel structure stratified intake.The steel structure stratified intake was ultimately recommended.Regarding the water transmission pipeline crossing the dam,the scheme of installing an intake pipe inside the existing emptying pipe was selected.The project has been implemented and is operating normally,providing a reference for similar projects.
