Abstract
The Liaohe River is one of China's seven major rivers and a primary river in Liaoning Province.Focusing on the Liaoning section of the Liaohe River,this paper analyzes the characteristics of rainstorms and floods,identifying runoff yield and concentration features as well as prominent issues in flood forecasting.Based on this analysis,the relevant research and applications by the Liaoning Hydrology Department in recent years are reviewed,covering flood forecasting models,land-atmosphere coupled flood forecasting,reservoir operation,and rainstorm resistance calculations.Furthermore,deficiencies requiring further improvement are highlighted.The results are intended to provide a reference for decision-making in flood control and disaster reduction in the Liaohe River Basin.关键词
