Abstract
Excessive content of total phosphorus(TP)in environmental water bodies can exacerbate the eutrophication process of water bodies,trigger algal blooms,lead to a sharp drop in dissolved oxygen,cause the death of aquatic organisms,disrupt the aquatic ecological balance,and may even endanger human health through the food chain.Therefore,it is crucial to accurately determine the content of total phosphorus in water bodies.In this study,the(nitric acid-sulfuric acid-perchloric acid)mixture was used as the digestion system for water samples.An inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometer(ICP-OES)was employed,with yttrium(Y)as the internal standard and a dual(radial and axial)viewing mode.The multi-element spectral fitting(MSF)method was used to correct continuous background and spectral overlap interferences,thereby establishing a determination method suitable for high,medium,and low levels of total phosphorus in municipal sewage.Under the optimal operating conditions of the instrument,the limit of detection(LOD),precision,and accuracy of this method for total phosphorus determination were investigated.The experimental results showed that when P214.914 nm was selected as the analytical line,the correlation coefficient(R²)of the calibration curve was greater than 0.9995.The LOD of the method was 0.031 mg/L,the precision(RSD%,n=7)ranged from 2.40%to 4.08%,and the spike recovery was between 97.5%and 102.5%.A comparison with the ammonium molybdate spectrophotometric method indicated that the determination results were consistent with each other and showed no significant difference,proving that this method has good accuracy.This method is simple and rapid,does not require a large amount of chemical reagents,and is suitable for batch analysis of environmental water samples.关键词
