Abstract

[Objective]It is to investigate the effects of integrated forest-medicinal management of Epimedium koreanum on soil physicochemical properties,microbial community composition and func-tions,and to identify core soil factors driving microbial community changes.[Method]A study area in the natural secondary forest of Qingyuan Manchu Autonomous County was established,with separate zones for E.koreanum cultivation and non-cultivation.Soil samples were collected at a depth of 15 cm to measure physicochemical properties and assess microbial community composition and diversity(bacteria and fungi).Correlations between soil physicochemical properties and microbial communities were ana-lyzed.[Result]Compared to the uncultivated lands,the cultivated lands showed significant increases in soil organic carbon,total nitrogen,total phosphorus,alkaline-hydrolyzable nitrogen,available phosphor-us,and available potassium,as well as a significantly higher soil quality index(SQI)(P<0.05).No significant differences were observed in pH and total potassium(P>0.05).Total bacterial ASV abun-dance and α diversity showed no significant changes,with stable core groups but enhanced functional specialization(increased abundance of chemotrophic heterotrophs,etc.).Fungal ASV abundance and α diversity increased significantly in parallel,with dominant groups replacement and enhanced saprophytic functions.β diversity analysis revealed that cultivation significantly altered bacterial and fungal community structures.Soil active nutrients were the core factor driving microbial community changes.[Conclusion]The integrated forest-medicinal herb management of E.koreanum enhances soil fertility.For bacterial communities,this manifests as structural stability and functional reinforcement;for fungal communities,it involves dominant group replacement,increased diversity,and shifts in core functions.Soil active nutrients are the key factor regulating microbial communities.This study advances the theoreti-cal understanding of soil ecological regulation in integrated forest-medicinal herb management,providing practical guidance for the sustainable cultivation of E.koreanum under forest canopies and the conserva-tion of its ecological functions.
