Abstract

[Objective]The effects of foliar fertilization on the growth of poplar cutting seedlings were discussed.[Method]One-year-old cutting seedlings of different clones of poplar were used as research materials,and an 800-fold dilution of"Zhengyuan Ximu"medium-element water-soluble foliar fertilizer was sprayed onto the leaves of the cuttings.The control group(CK,seedlings without foliar fertilizer),P.×canadensis'Zhongliao 1',P.×canadensis'Oumeiyang177',P.×Liaoningsis,P.×euramaricana'Bofeng 3',P.×euramaricana'Bofeng 1'and other clones were set up,and the ground diameter,seedling height,chlorophyll content,leaf area,biomass and root morphology of the seedlings were meas-ured regularly.[Result]Compared with the control group,foliar-fertilized cuttings showed a 24.56%-31.40%increase in ground diameter,a 16.08%-21.86%increase in seedling height,a 44.81%-64.77%increase in chlorophyll content,a 24.57%-41.21%increase in leaf area,and a significant rise in biomass.[Conclusion]Spraying foliar fertilizer on poplar cuttings during the growth period helps replen-ish trace elements,which can effectively promote seedling growth and improve seedling yield and quality.
