Morphological Structure and Physiological Differences of Reed under Salt Stress in Different Habitats

Abstract
The reed is widely distributed and has a wide range of ecological niches,suitable for a va-riety of habitats,including aquatic reeds and dry reeds,and its strong nutritional reproduction capac-ity makes it extremely tolerant of extreme environments.The reed is highly tolerant of extreme envi-ronments due to its strong nutritional reproduction ability.The reed selects and adapts to different habitats through its morphology,physiological and biochemical indicators,such as water depth,salin-ity,nutrients,and climate,resulting in different degrees of differentiation and variation among indi-viduals and populations.In order to investigate the morphological and physiological variation of reeds under salt stress,this study was conducted to investigate the morphological and physiological variation of reeds in different habitats(Baiyangdian aquatic,Wuhan aquatic,Tarim River aquatic,Tarim dry,Bosten Lake aquatic,and Bosten Lake dry)by using a salt treatment solution of 300 mmol/L NaCl for one month,and by measuring and comparing the physiological and physiological variation of reeds in eight different habitats under moderate intensity salt stress.We investigated the morphologi-cal,physiological and biochemical changes of reeds in response to high salinity in different habitats by measuring and comparing the changes in phenotype,photosynthetic parameters,chlorophyll con-tent and mineral content of reeds in eight different habitats under moderate salt stress,and also inves-tigated the differences in salt resistance mechanisms of reeds in different habitats.It was found that under salt stress conditions,the leaf area of reed shrank,plant height decreased,and basal diameter decreased,and at the same time,photosynthesis of reed decreased and chlorophyll content increased,under the effect of salt stress,elements in reeds were redistributed and a new balance was formed.The results showed that the effects of salt stress differed for different habitats of reeds,and the effects were slightly lower for dry reeds than for aquatic reeds.The salt stress environment reed Tarim dry TG species accumulated less Na content in the leaves,while there was a lower Na/K in TG leaves,in-dicating that reed TG species have a good ability to regulate Na and maintain a relatively high K con-tent.This indicates that there are differences in the physiological characteristics of salt stress resis-tance mechanisms of reeds in different habitats,and also confirms that dry reeds are slightly more ca-pable of adapting to salt stress than aquatic reeds.关键词
