摘要
Abstract
Philip Freneau was a renowned revolutionary poet in the 18th century in the United States.His poetry was abundant and covered a wide range of subjects,being rich in romantic revolutionary passion as well as sensitive to nature.This study,based on Halliday's three metafunctions of language,refines and expands the systems of transitivity,mood,modality,evaluation,and theme-rheme in the framework of Systemic Functional Linguistics to adapt to the discourse analysis of English poetry.Taking Freneau's poem"The Wild Honey Suckle"as an example,it aims to provide a new perspective for the discourse analysis of nature poetry,exploring how the language structure of poetry realizes the construction of ecological meaning;and on the other hand,to understand the poet's ecological view and arouse the public's ecological protection awareness.关键词
