Abstract
Traditional villages serve as the soil for cultural heritage and the cradle of national spirit.As of 2023,26 villages within the jurisdic-tion of Beijing have been included in the National List of Traditional Chinese Villages.Most of these villages are located in the Western Hills and Yongding River Cultural Belt,providing tangible evidence for the living heritage of this cultural region.Sanjiadian Village in Mentougou District of Beijing is a typical traditional village rich in folk cultural resources.Its cultural formation is representative of traditional villages in the Western Hills and Yongding River Cultural Belt,having gone through the processes of cultural genesis,cultural identification,and cultural exchange and integra-tion,all of which are imbued with the cultural characteristics of the region.Therefore,this paper takes the cultural formation process of Sanjiadian Village as an example to illustrate the roots and development of cultural memory in traditional villages within the Western Hills and Yongding River Cultural Belt.It also explores how this cultural belt functions as a form of cultural memory to"actualize"history and offers practical and feasible strat-egies for the cultural development of traditional villages in the region.关键词
