Abstract

The high-voltage terminal of the new energy transformer typically employs a porcelain bushing for wall penetration.However,this high-voltage porcelain bushing features a relatively large external size and a high failure rate,which is detrimental to the stable operation of the substation power supply system and fails to meet customer requirements.To improve product quality and meet the requirements of limited installation environments,it is proposed to introduce a 36 kV/630 A high-voltage terminal from a foreign brand into the new energy transformer.To understand the insulation performance and failure mechanisms of the high-voltage A terminal,a simulation analysis of the electric field intensity at the high-voltage A terminal was conducted.The results showed that,the electric field strength at the end of the high-voltage A terminal shielding network reached 11.3 kV/mm,and it is the preferred location for breakdown when a fault occurs.This location is consistent with the actual breakdown fault point during operation,providing a solid theoretical basis for engineering applications and playing an important role in improving the product quality of new energy transformers.
