Abstract

Vegetation's net primary productivity(NPP)is a vital component of carbon sinks.Its changes have a significant impact on regional carbon neutrality.The spatiotemporal patterns and driving factors of net primary productivity(NPP)in Henan Province from 2001 to 2023 were analyzed using a geographic detector.It shows:(1)From the perspective of space,the multi-annual mean of NPP is as high as 713.5 gC·m-2/a in the south-ern mountainous area,while the average annual NPP is relatively low in the northern plain areas,only 89.3 gC·m-2/a.NPP has a fluctuating upward trend in Henan Province.The central and northern regions show a significant decrease,while the southwest region shows the most prominent growth.The local Moran's I index of NPP changes is 0.651,which indicates the presence of strong spatial autocorrelation.High-value clusters are observed in the Funiu and Tongbai Mountain ranges of Luoyang,Nanyang,and Xinyang in the southwest,whereas low-value clusters are evident in the northern regions of the province.(2)The geographic detector results suggest that precipitation,temperature,and elevation significantly influence NPP variations in Henan Province,whereas the impacts of population and industry are relatively minor.The explanatory power of dual-factor combinations considerably exceeds that of individual factors.Ecological environment quality is improving in Henan Province,but there are significant regional differences.Therefore,carbon neutrality policies should be formulated according to local conditions.
