Abstract
The isobaric vapor-liquid phase equilibria relationship for the binary system of propyl propionate-n-pentanol at 101.3 kPa was studied with a gas-liquid phase equilibrium measurement device and an Abbe refrac-tometer by the refractive index analysis method,and the gas-liquid phase equilibrium data at 101.3 kPa was ob-tained.Furthermore,the thermodynamic consistency of the experimental data was verified by using the Herington area integration method.On this basis,the t-x-y and x-y phase diagrams of the binary system were drawn.Finally,the experimental data were correlated with the Wilson activity coefficient model to acquire binary interac-tion parameters.The results showed that the average relative deviation(ARRD)of 0.163 2%for the vapor phase composition and 0.032 51%for the equilibrium temperature were yielded with the Wilson model.The pre-dicted data exhibited good agreement with the experimental data,indicating that the Wilson model was suitable for simulating the separation process of the propyl propionate-n-pentanol system at 101.3 kPa.关键词
