Parametric Characterization of Evolution Characteristics of Plastic Zone in Tunnel Excavation Prediction with Agent Models

Abstract
In response to the issue of low efficiency associated with traditional numerical simulation methods for obtaining the evolution characteristics of the plastic zone in surrounding rock during tunnel excavation,a rapid prediction method for the evolution curve of plastic zone in tunnel excavation is proposed.This method focuses on the key characteristic of the evolution process of the area(depth)of plastic zone in the surrounding rock within the tunnel cross-section as the excavation face advances,and a parametric representation of the evolution curve of plastic zone using a three-parameter exponential function is proposed.By constructing a Kriging surrogate model with the main influencing factors of the plastic zone evolution curve as inputs and the characterization parameters as outputs,the rapid prediction of the evolution curve of plastic zone is achieved.Taking a water conveyance tunnel project as an example,the predictions of the evolution curves of plastic zone for three typical tunnel sections during excavation are conducted,and the comparison with the results from traditional numerical simulation methods verifies the feasibility and prediction accuracy of the proposed method.关键词
