Abstract

Ultra-long water diversion high-head hydropower stations have the characteristics of complex system layout,numerous hydraulic components,frequent operational shift,and difficult to predict transient process,which posing severe challenges to transition process research.To reveal the transient process characteristics and key influencing factors of such complex systems under large disturbance conditions,an ultra-long high-head water conveyance and power generation system is taken as the research object,and the dynamic response characteristics of this system under different operating states are systematically illustrated from four aspects of turbine type,control conditions,water hammer characteristics,and optimization measures.The results show that different turbine types,layout configurations and control strategies have significant impacts on system pressure peaks and surge chamber water-level oscillation patterns.Therefore it is necessary to rationally configure parameters such as surge chamber dimensions and turbine closure laws.The research findings will provide theoretical and practical value for improving the accuracy of regulation guarantee calculations and ensuring the safe and stable operation of high-head long-conduit hydropower systems.
