Clinical observation of electroacupuncture combined with low-frequency neuromuscular electrical stimulation in treating secondary dysphagia after craniocerebral surgery
摘要
Abstract
Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of electroacupuncture combined with low-frequency neuromuscular electrical stimulation in treating secondary dysphagia after craniocerebral surgery.Method A total of 105 patients with secondary dysphagia after craniocerebral surgery were randomly divided into an electroacupuncture group,a low-frequency group, and a combined group, with 35 cases in each group. All three groups received routine postoperative treatment and swallowing function training. The electroacupuncture group received additional acupoint electroacupuncture treatment;the low-frequency group received additional low-frequency neuromuscular electrical stimulation;the combined group received both electroacupuncture and low-frequency neuromuscular electrical stimulation.Changes in Kubota water swallowing test(WST)grades, functional oral intake scale(FOIS)scores, modified volume-viscosity swallowing test(VVST-CV)grades,and swallowing quality of life questionnaire(SWAL-QOL)scores were observed before and after treatment in the three groups. The timed water swallow test(TWST)and the test of mastication and swallowing solids(TOMASS)were compared among the three groups after treatment.Clinical efficacy and adverse reactions were also compared.Result After treatment,WST grades,VVST-CV grades,FOIS scores, and SWAL-QOL scores in all three groups improved compared with before treatment(P<0.05).The differences in WST grades,VVST-CV grades,FOIS scores, and SWAL-QOL scores among the three groups were statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment, the combined group showed better WST grades,VVST-CV grades,FOIS scores,SWAL-QOL scores,TWST parameters, and TOMASS parameters compared with the other two groups(P<0.05).The total effective rate of the combined group was higher than that of the other two groups(P<0.05).No serious adverse reactions occurred in any of the three groups. Conclusion On the basis of routine postoperative treatment and swallowing function training, electroacupuncture combined with low-frequency neuromuscular electrical stimulation shows superior clinical efficacy compared with either electroacupuncture or low-frequency stimulation alone, effectively improving swallowing function, relieving clinical symptoms, and enhancing the quality of life in patients with secondary dysphagia after craniocerebral surgery.关键词
