Abstract
There are many sandstone uranium deposits newly discovered in the Australian platform in recent years,and the total amount of uranium resources has also increased significantly.Currently,there are 38 sandstone uranium deposits with a total uranium resource of approximately 38×104 tU,ranking as the sixth largest country in the world in terms of sandstone-type uranium resources.There have been numerous general discussions on the sandstone-type uranium deposits in the Australian Platform by predecessors,but discussions on their metallogenic division and spatiotemporal distribution from the perspective of tectonics are seldom reported.In this paper,the preliminary division of sandstone type uranium metallogenic regions in the Australian platform is based on the tectonic unit.From the perspective of active structure and tectono magmatic activation metallogenic theory,the regional metallogenic analysis method and metallogenic correlation method are used,and the quantitative standards of uranium deposits,the number of uranium metallogenic regions and the amount of uranium resources are introduced,which are divided into two levels:uranium metallogenic province and metallogenic region.It is divided into three uranium metallogenic provinces(including reserves)and nine sandstone type uranium metallogenic regions(including reserves).The spatiotemporal distribution of uranium metallogenic regions is related to three times of activation mineralization in Neoproterozoic,Late Paleozoic and Mesozoic Cenozoic.However,sandstone type uranium metallogenic provinces and regions formed by activation in Mesozoic Cenozoic are the main ones,forming the largest number of metallogenic regions,the widest distribution and the greatest industrial significance.The Australian platform sandstone uranium mineralization regions are widely distributed,and the degree of uranium exploration and research is relatively low,which has great prospecting potential.It is of reference significance for the prospecting of sandstone uranium deposits in Australia and the development of uranium resources in Australia by Chinese enterprises.关键词
