Abstract

The performance tests of high precision magnetic method are critical in ensuring the quality of magnetic survey data.In field practice,manual calculations are often employed to derive measurement parameters,which is inefficient and prone to computational errors.While some commercial software of geophysical data processing and interpreting includes functions for high precision magnetic performance tests,they often have high operational requirements due to the systematic design and lack comprehensive coverage.In accordance with the high precision magnetic survey specifications,this study integrated functional designs for the key performance tests,including noise level test,logger consistency test,sensor consistency test,consistency test,observation precision test,and systematic error test.The software was developed using the cross-platform C++framework Qt,a popular development tool.A light weight database SQLite was adopted for data storage,the open-source library QCustomPlot was utilized for curve plotting,and the QAxContainer module was implemented for exporting test reports.This engineering-oriented software enables rapid high precision magnetic performance testing,reducing the burden of on-site calculations and report generation for field technicians while ensuring measurement accuracy.The software was applied in a high precision magnetic survey for a sandstone-hosted uranium deposit in northwestern China,with results cross-validated against manual calculations.The evaluation confirmed that the software efficiently performs data processing,curve generation,and standardized report export,offering a user-friendly interface and reliable results that enhance survey efficiency.
