Relationship between serum LncRNA HOTAIR and GAS5 and clini-copathological characteristics of patients with triple-negative breast cancer

Abstract
Objective To investigate the relationship between serum LncRNA HOTAIR and GAS5 and clinico-pathological characteristics of patients with triple-negative breast cancer.Methods A total of 100 patients with triple-negative breast cancer in Yancheng Second People's Hospital from February 2023 to January 2025 were selected as the observation group,and 40 patients with benign breast tumor at the same time were selected as the control group.The expression levels of serum LncRNA HOTAIR and GAS5 of the two groups were detected and compared.The expression levels of serum LncRNA HOTAIR and GAS5 of the observation group with different ages,lesion locations,lesion sizes,TNM stages,lymph node metastasis,and histological grades were compared.The relationship between LncRNA HOTAIR and GAS5 and clinicopathological characteristics of patients with triple-negative breast cancer was analyzed with Spearman correlation analysis.Results The expression level of serum LncRNA HOTAIR of the observation group was higher than that of the control group,the expression level of serum LncRNA GAS5 was lower than that of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).There were no statistically significant differences in the expression levels of serum LncRNA HOTAIR and GAS5 of the observation group with different ages,lesion locations,and lesion sizes(P>0.05).The expression levels of serum LncRNA HOTAIR and GAS5 with higher TNM stages,lymph node metastasis,and higher histological grade were higher than those with lower TNM stages,no lymph node metastasis,and lower histological grade,and the expression levels of serum LncRNA GAS5 were lower than those with lower TNM stages,no lymph node metastasis,and lower histological grade(P<0.05).The Spearman correlation analysis showed that the serum LncRNA HOTAIR was positively correlated with TNM stages,lymph node metastasis,and histological grades of triple-negative breast cancer,and the serum LncRNA GAS5 was negatively correlated with TNM stages,lymph node metastasis,and histological grades of triple-negative breast cancer(P<0.05).Conclusion The expressions of LncRNA HOTAIR and GAS5 in patients with triple-negative breast cancer are relatively abnormal and closely related to TNM stages,lymph node metastasis,and histological grades.关键词
