Land Transfer,Scale Economy,and Farmers'Green Production Behavior

Abstract
Based on land transfer data from China's Rural Revitalization Survey,this study constructs a theo-retical framework of 'land transfer-scale economy-green production behavior' and employs an ordered Probit model to analyze the mechanism by which land transfer affects farmers' green production practices.The CMP method is applied to address endogeneity and to examine the intrinsic relationship between land transfer and agricultural green development.The results indicate that land transfers significantly promote farmers' adoption of green production practices,particularly through paid transfers,fixed-term contracts,and written agreements.Scale economies play a mediating role in this process.Moreover,the impact of land transfer varies across households with different labor quality and generational characteristics,showing greater effectiveness among farmers with lower labor quality and younger age.These findings provide important insights for implementing ecological strategies in rural revitalization.关键词
