Abstract

Objective To explore the immune and drug sensitivity regulatory effects of fructose-2,6-diphosphatase(PFKFB)on tumors,and to analyze the gene expression,immune subtypes,and drug sensitivity of PFKFB family members,so as to provide new knowledge for cancer treatment targets.Methods Data for 33 cancer types,including RNA-seq,clini-cal phenotypes,and immune subtypes,were downloaded from the cancer genome atlas(TCGA).Cell data and RNA sequencing data were obtained from CellMiner and processed using Perl and R languages and their packages.Wilcoxon test was used to process and analyze the sequencing data downloaded from the TCGA database.Results The expression of PFKFB family members exhibited different heterogeneity in different cancers.PFKFB1,PFKFB3,and PFKFB4 predicted poor prognosis in patients with multiple cancers,and all members were associated with immune response.Research had found that PFKFB2 and PFKFB4 might promote drug resistance in cancer cells.Conclusion Based on gene expression and its correlation with immune infiltration and tumor microenvironment,members of the PFKFB family have specific roles in each type of cancer,and PFKFB2 and PFKFB4 may serve as targets for cancer therapy.
