Abstract
To enhance the performance of the thermal management system for new energy vehicles,a novel coaxial internal heat exchanger(CIHX)featuring a corrugated flow channel and integrated into a battery cooler is proposed.Based on the mechanism analysis of how the heat exchanger improves system performance,the CIHX was optimized in three aspects:Working fluid turbulence intensity,flow channel cross-sectional shape,and heat transfer area.Fluent simulations were used to compare the heat transfer performance of various schemes,followed by strength and reliability tests.The results show that the corrugated flow channel scheme significantly enhances turbulence intensity and heat transfer coefficient of the refrigerant by improving flow disturbance and simultaneously adjusting channel dimensions and heat transfer area.Consequently,the CIHX achieves an 11%to 24%increase in heat exchange capacity under the same operating conditions compared to similar products,and its structural design has been verified to meet safety and strength requirements.This optimization design effectively improves the thermal management system performance and provides a feasible pathway for developing high-efficiency compact heat exchangers.关键词
