Abstract
To clarify the impact of the split ratio on the medium migration within the hydrocyclone under sand-containing working conditions.Based on the conventional double-tangential inlet hydrocyclone and taking the overflow split ratio as the variable factor,the migration trajectories of oil-sand two-phase media in the hydrocyclone under different operating conditions were studied using the single factor test design and CFD-DEM simulation technic.The results show that the split ratio has little impact on the migration trajectories of single sand particle and particle flows,but it leads to a nonlinear increase in the residence time of the sand phase within the cyclone cavity.The oil phase media are significantly affected by the overflow split ratio.As the split ratio increase,the separation efficiency of oil particles rises from 0%to 100%,along with the upward extension of the migration trajectory.The experimental research was conducted using the high-speed camera system,revealed a good consistency between simulations and experimental results under different split ratio conditions.The research can provide theoretical support for the application of downhole hydrocyclone in sand removal.关键词
