An exploration towards the technical accessibility of the virtual production for traditional Chinese opera films:A case study of Kun Qu opera film Gu Yanwu
摘要
Abstract
Amid China's nationwide cultural digitization initiative, the Kun Qu opera film Gu Yanwu pioneers virtual produc-tion(VP)technology to overcome critical challenges in traditional opera modernization, including constrained performance spaces,a generational audience gap,and historical reconstruction complexities. From the perspective of the creative team, this paper focuses on the analysis of physical scene scanning for historical accuracy, digital environment construction, and real-time rendering engines enabling dynamic scene-performance synchronization, which realizes the integration of Ming Dynasty tomb's historical remains and digital scenes, the interaction between the stylized performance of traditional Chi-nese opera and dynamic virtual scenes, and the closed-loop production among shooting, rendering and synthesis within an LED virtual production studio. The research results show that the technical scheme can effectively shorten the production period, achieve the goal of reducing costs while increasing efficiency, and establish a reusable digital workflow through digi-tal asset technology, which verifies the two-way empowerment mechanism of traditional aesthetics and modern technol-ogy.This study also proposes a paradigm reference with both academic value and practical significance for the innovative development of traditional Chinese opera films, and provides a reusable technical solution for the film and television expres-sion of similar cultural heritage.关键词
