Abstract

Xiqu puppet animation is an artistic form that transforms Xiqu cultural content into stop-motion puppet animation,combining the unique texture of stop-motion puppet animation and Xiqu culture,and forming a category in the field of ani-mation art with distinct Chinese cultural characteristics.At present,the AI-based motion image generation method built on data and algorithms has exerted a profound impact on animation production technology.To explore the influence of genera-tive artificial intelligence(GAI)on the creation and production of Xiqu puppet animation as well as its enabling paths,this paper sorts out the development of puppet animation production technology,discusses the feasibility of applying GAI to Xiqu puppet animation production,and thus provides valuable references for the application of GAI technology in Xiqu pup-pet animation creation based on the creative experience derived from specific work practice.The research shows that GAI is gradually solving problems such as inter-frame image stability at present and demonstrating its enabling effect on anima-tion images.However,GAI's operation mechanism based on model data and algorithms determines that Xiqu puppet ani-mation,as an artistic form shall require full participation and active intervention of creators.
