Abstract
Objective:This paper aims to analyze the sociodemographic characteristics and clinical manifestations involved in reports of children's cosmetics adverse reactions,and to provide evidence for reducing cosmetic-related adverse reactions in children and strengthening risk management of children's cosmetics.Methods:Reports of adverse reactions caused by the use of children's cosmetics and routine adult cosmetics in children,collected in Fujian Province from October 1,2022 to May 31,2025,were analyzed.The analysis included product source,sex and age distribution,latency period of adverse reactions,clinical manifestations,preliminary assessment,treatment,and outcomes.Results:A total of 117 reports of adverse reactions to children's cosmetics and 92 reports related to routine adult cosmetics were included.The use of routine adult cosmetics was more common among older children(4-12 years),mainly involving ordinary cosmetics.Adverse reactions caused by routine adult cosmetics were more complex than those caused by children's cosmetics,including cosmetic contact urticaria and acne cosmetica.Four signal cases were identified in which adverse reactions to the same children's cosmetic occurred within one month.Conclusion:It is recommended to increase support for the children's cosmetics industry to provide children with more choices;strengthen science education and public awareness to prevent the misuse of routine adult cosmetics by children;and explore a risk management model for children's cosmetics that combines a standards system,a risk early warning system,and a safety evaluation system.关键词
