Abstract

With the increasing use of kelp,the scale and production of kelp farming have been increasing year by year.Kelp farming is a labor-intensive industry,with high labor intensity and high operational risks in the harvesting process.Therefore,developing mechanized kelp harvesting equipment is an important solution.In response to the above problems,this article developed a multi-body kelp harvesting ship based on the floating raft kelp aquaculture mode in the North.The harvesting device of the ship mainly consists of a lifting beam,a seedling rope hanging device,a conveyor chain,and a kelp collection platform.It can achieve smooth kelp harvesting in complex working environments,significantly reducing the labor intensity of harvesting personnel.The field test results showed that the actual operational performance of the multi-body kelp harvesting carrier ship exceeded the design requirements.Among them,the actual operation speed and harvesting efficiency both exceed the design indicators by 10%,the kelp loss rate is 3.25%,and the per capita harvesting efficiency is 12.5 times that of manual harvesting,greatly improving the operation efficiency and providing reference for the mechanized harvesting of kelp.
