Abstract

To address the technical challenges in the mechanized harvesting of Hangzhou White Chrysanthemum,a self-propelled rotary variable-pitch comb-type harvesting device was designed.Based on the mechanical properties and plant characteristics of Hangzhou White Chrysanthemum,the structural and operational parameters of the harvesting device were determined.The 3D model of the machine was constructed using UG 10.0,with strength verification analysis conducted on key components including the chassis and harvesting combs to ensure structural reliability in complex operating environments.For parameter optimization,the comb gap range was preliminarily identified through single-factor experiments.A three-factor,three-level combined experiment was then performed using the Box—Behnken experimental design method using Design—Expert 8.0.6 software.Variance analysis of the experimental results,with the objective of maximizing the harvesting rate while minimizing the impurity rate and damage rate,showed the regression model's ANOVA P-value were less than 0.01,confirming the validity and reliability of the regression model.Optimization via Design—Expert 8.0.6 yielded the following optimal parameter combination:comb gap of 9 mm,comb rotational speed of 60 r/min,and forward speed of 0.5 m/s.Under these conditions,the harvesting rate,impurity rate,and damage rate reached 85.78%,16.77%,and 2.05%,respectively.The equipment demonstrated stable operation during testing,providing critical technical support for the mechanized harvesting and industrial upgrading of Hangzhou White Chrysanthemum.
