Abstract
Objective To explore the influence of intramuscular injection of botulinum toxin type A treatment regimen on muscle tone and safety in children with spastic cerebral palsy.Methods A total of 103 children with spastic cerebral palsy admitted to Anhui Children's Hospital from January 2023 to January 2025 were selected and randomly divided into a control group of 51 cases and an observation group of 52 cases according to the coin-tossing method.The control group was given conventional rehabilitation training,while the observation group was treated with botulinum toxin type A on the basis of the control group.The effective rate of treatment,incidence of adverse reactions,gait indicators,modified Ashworth Scale(MAS)score,and Pediatric Balance Scale(PBS)score were compared between the two groups of children.Results The effective rate of treatment in the observation group was 98.08%,which was higher than 84.31%in the control group(P＜0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the observation group and the control group(P＞0.05).After the treatment,the walking speed and step length of the observation group were significantly increased compared with those of the control group(P＜0.05).After treatment,compared with the control group,the MAS score of the observation group was significantly decreased(P＜0.05),and the PBS score was significantly increased(P＜0.05).Conclusion The clinical effect of the treatment plan combining conventional rehabilitation training with intramuscular injection of botulinum toxin type A for children with spastic cerebral palsy is remarkable.It can significantly improve the gait of children,reduce muscle tone,improve motor function,and has relatively high safety.关键词
