2024年中国棉花产销形势分析及后期走势展望
Analysis of China's Cotton Production and Marketing Situation in 2024 and Outlook for the Future

Abstract
As one of China's most important cash crops,cotton represents a vital agricultural product crucial to national economic development and people's livelihoods,playing a pivotal role in safeguarding economic stability and public welfare.In 2024,China's cotton industry exhibited an overall trend characterized by"increased production,rising imports,weaker prices,and stable sales".Cotton production increased significantly,imports expanded simultaneously,resulting in an ample overall market supply.In terms of prices,seed cotton prices started low and continued to decline,with futures prices consistently staying below spot prices,reflecting cautious market expectations.The sales pace accelerated compared to the same period last year,with both domestic and international markets remaining stable,and online retail performance was particularly notable,emerging as a new driver of consumption growth.It was forecasted that in 2025,it is expected that the national cotton planting area will continue to increase slightly.However,influenced by changes in the global supply-demand dynamics and trade environment,textile and apparel exports as well as cotton imports may decline compared to 2024,and cotton prices are likely to remain low with continued fluctuations.Based on this,it was suggested to guide farmers to make rational decision through diversified communication channels,to enhance the empowerment of scientific and technological to reduce costs and increase efficiency,and to promote diversified overseas market expansion and implement multiple measures to boost the consumption of cotton.关键词
