Ageism in medical and health services:practical challenges and coping strategies
摘要
Abstract
In recent years,China has issued a series of policies to build an age-friendly medical and health service system,striving to alleviate and eliminate ageism in medical and health services.However,there are still widespread attitudinal,behavioral,environmental,and institutional ageism in the field of medical and health services,which not only infringes the health rights and interests of elderly patients,undermines their physical and mental health,and threatens social harmony and stability,but also breeds a negative atmosphere that violates medical ethics and professional conduct.In this regard,it is necessary to promote the culture of respecting the elderly in the new era,accelerate anti-ageism legislation,incorporate aging education and intergenerational contact into teaching,promote the elderly-adapted reform of medical and health services,and eliminate hidden ageism in the digital era,so as to ensure that the elderly enjoy fairer and more dignified medical and health services.关键词
