Physiological Mechanisms and Regulatory Strategies of Postpartum Uterine Involution in Livestock

Abstract
After parturition,the uterus undergoes two overlapping physiological stages,the involution phase and the regeneration phase,to gradually restore its pre-pregnancy state and function.This process is known as uterine involution.The core regulatory mechanisms of uterine involution include hormonal dynamic balance(changes in the ratio of estrogen to progesterone drive uterine myometrium contraction and endometrial repair),cellular regeneration system(differentiation of uterine endometrial stem cells participates in tissue remodeling and is regulated by the coagulation-immune network),and epigenetic regulation(non-coding RNA targeting genes affect related pathways).Currently,production and clinical practices often adopt three strategies to promote postpartum uterine involution:nutritional intervention,exogenous hormones,and stem cell therapy.This article reviews the process of postpartum uterine involution,its regulatory mechanisms,and intervention measures,evaluates the shortcomings of existing research,and points out the direction and focus of future research,aiming to provide a theoretical basis for optimizing postpartum reproductive management and to promote further development in the field of postpartum uterine recovery.关键词
