Research Progress on the Origin,Domestication,and Genetic Diversity of Domestic Cattle
摘要
Abstract
Domestic cattle is one of the world's major domesticated animals,providing humans with a variety of products such as meat,milk,and leather,and have significant economic value.The domestication of cattle is the result of both natural and artificial selection,and their genetic diversity is a critical foundation for population stability and good production performance.Although there are many studies on the origin and domestication of Chinese cattle,the migration routes and genetic diversity of domestic cattle worldwide still lack systematic summaries.Therefore,this review summarizes the origin,domestication process,and global migration routes of cattle,outlines the research progress on maternal,paternal,and autosomal genetic diversity.The aim of this review is to provide theoretical support for the research of the origin and evolution of domestic cattle,and to offer a scientific basis for the protection,sustainable utilization and breeding improvement of genetic resources.关键词
