Abstract
Objective To explore the association between the triglyceride-glucose index(TyG index)and chronic kidney disease(CKD)in middle-aged and older individuals in Anhui Province based on the 2023 data from the China Adult Chronic Disease and Risk Factors Surveillance,providing new reference information for the prevention and control of CKD.Methods Residents aged 45 and above were selected as the study subjects.The multivariate logistic regression model was established to estimate the relationship between the TyG index and the prevalence of CKD.The restricted cubic spline(RCS)function was applied to logistic regression to fit the dose-response relationship between the TyG index and the prevalence of CKD,and subgroup analyses were performed.Results A total of 6 483 individuals were included,with an average age of(64.7±9.9)years.After adjusting for all covariates,for each one-unit increase in the TyG index,the risk of CKD increased by 35.9%(OR=1.359,95%CI:1.173-1.573).Compared with individuals in the low tertile of the TyG index,those with the middle tertile(OR=1.236,95%CI:1.036-1.474)and high tertile(OR=1.288,95%CI:1.035-1.604)had a higher risk of CKD.The relationship between the TyG index and the prevalence of CKD was approximately linear.Stratified analysis showed an interaction between the TyG index and age group as well as current smoking status on the risk of CKD(P<0.05).Conclusions The TyG index is positively associated with the prevalence of CKD among middle-aged and elderly residents in Anhui Province.关键词
