Abstract

This study aim to accurately evaluate the efficiency and influencing factors of agricultural products cold chain logistics in 9 cities and 2 districts of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area,and promote the optimization and upgrading of the regional cold chain logistics system for agricultural products.Based on the panel data of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area in 2018-2022,this paper used the BCC model(Banker-Charnes-Cooper Model)of data envelope analysis(Data Envelopment Analysis,DEA)to measure the static efficiency.Then the Malmquist index method was used to reveal the dynamic evolution characteristics of efficiency,and finally the key influencing factors were identified through the Tobit regression model.The study showed that the overall of the cold chain logistics efficiency of agricultural products in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area was ineffective during the research period,mainly limited by different degrees of scale efficiency.The average annual growth value of the total factor productivity index showed volatility characteristics,showing a trend of declining first,and then rising.The industrial structure and regional development level significantly affected the cold chain logistics efficiency in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area,and the transportation equipment and information level also showed inhibitory effect to some extent,but the influence degree was not significant.
