Abstract
The Intensive Care Unit(ICU),as a highly concentrated medical area,must maintain effective medical order to ensure the smooth progression of treatment.Physical restraints help regulate patient behavior,ensure patient safety,uphold medical order,and enhance work efficiency.Furthermore,a scientifically grounded and standardized physical restraint reduction strategy can decrease the rate of patient restraint while ensuring patient safety.The article reviews three aspects:the definition of physical restraint,its epidemiology,and the principles for implementing physical restraint reduction strategies.It aims to provide theoretical guidance for deeper clinical exploration of physical restraint reduction strategies for ICU patients.关键词
