Abstract
Ischemic stroke, also known as cerebral infarction,is a common cerebrovascular disease. Its incidence has been increasing year by year.Currently, there are various treatment methods for ischemic stroke, but they have limitations. The Xingnao Kaiqiao(Brain-Awakening and Orifice-Opening)acupuncture method, developed by Academician Shi Xuemin,is one of the key Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)acupuncture therapies for ischemic stroke. It employs specific needling techniques and acupoint combinations to awaken the brain, nourish the liver and kidneys, and unblock meridians, thereby improving neurological deficits in patients. In recent years, clinical studies have demonstrated its significant efficacy and favorable safety profile.Meanwhile, advancements in neuroscience and medical imaging technologies have facilitated in-depth research into its central mechanisms in treating ischemic stroke. This article reviews the TCM theoretical basis, clinical research progress, and central mechanisms of the Xingnao Kaiqiao acupuncture method for ischemic stroke, aiming to provide references for its further promotion and clinical application.关键词
