Abstract
Considering the operational instability of a variable frequency air conditioning system when it is variable speed operated,an adaptive superheat controller based on a neural network model is proposed in this paper.The proposed controller is developed based on the neural network-based system operational stability prediction model.Through predicting the operational stability under different operational conditions,the minimal stable superheat can be estimated.The experimental results showed that adaptive superheat controller based on a neural network model could automatically increase the superheat setting to mitigate the system instability,and at the same time maintaining the superheat setting at its minimal stable value.Compared to the traditional controller,3.4%improvement in operational efficiency could be achieved using the proposed superheat controller.关键词
